Pediped Shoes

Let me just start off by saying that my daughter is a HUGE fan of shoes. That was one of her first words. And just the other day she wouldn't get dressed until I told her she could wear a new pair of shoes we just got.

So when I was given a pair of Pedipeds for her, I was excited, especially because they were so cute! My daughter was even more excited, however. She loves to wear them all the time. And everywhere we go we always get compliments on them. They have great boys ones as well as girls shoes, and even ones for younger kids.

Come check out the video all about Pedipeds and see why we like them so much besides their cute factor on my blog Sweet 'n' Sassy Girls.

Playskool Dance Cam

My youngest son loves music, loves to dance and see himself on video (Do you think I have a rock star on my hands ?) so when I came across the Playskool Dance Cam I knew he would love it. When Playskool sent us the Dance Cam to try I was excited to see the Dance Cam and my son in action. What I did not know is that the whole family would have fun with it. My older boys would not admit that they like to join their little brother dancing ,but they do. This mom has also joined in the fun (shhhh….Dad has also).

One of my favorite things about the Dance Cam is the easy to set up !
  1. Simply insert the 4 “AA” batteries (not included) into the console.
  2. Connect it to your TV.
  3. Adjust the camera angle
  4. Select a mode.
  5. Dance !
The Dance Cam is best viewed on a 27" television or smaller. We have a 57" and it works fine. We did try it on a smaller tv and picture quality was great, but since we are always in the family room that is where we keep the Playskool Dance Cam hooked up and ready to play.

Kinesys Sunscreen

If you are anything like me and my family, as the weather gets warmer, we spend more and more time outside. Being the redhead that I am, I always take time to put on protection from the sun. The only problem is trying to put it on my toddler.

A cream sunscreen takes a while to rub on and is not easy with a squirmy kid. That's why I really like the spray sunscreens. I just had the chance to try out the Kinesys Kids spray sunscreen and I really enjoy it. It's perfect when we don't have a lot of time to spend rubbing in cream.

It has lots of other great aspects, but if you want to hear more, you need to come check out my review of Kinesys Sunscreen on my blog and enter my contest for a chance to win!

Prima Princessa

What little girl doesn't dream of becoming a ballerina? I know I always used to have fun dressing up in tutus and twirling around the room.

Prima Princessa is a DVD that shows real life ballet, along with demonstrations of some basic steps by kids. They then encourage the viewers to get up and try those steps too. It gets them off the couch and dancing around the room.

My daughter had a lot of fun spinning and jumping around the room. If you want to check out the video of her doing this, or if you want to win a copy of the DVD for your family, come on over to Sweet 'n' Sassy Girls!

Coco Bonbons unique clothing for kids

I love when my kids look good, who doesn't. Coco Bonbons is a clothing line that produces high quality, whimsical and unique clothing for children. From classic seersucker suits for boys to floral rompers and swing dress for girl, you are going to find sweet clothing for children infant to school-age.

Here's my big boy Shaun is a button-down and plaid short but it's not stuffy or dressed-up. The shirt was soft and silky and the shorts were lightweight with muted colors for a mature look. He's a tall kid but this outfit is going to fit well into summer, fall and possibly spring for the shorts.
If you know me you know my love of cupcakes so of course she is wearing a dress from Coco Bonbons' Josie collection. It's got gorgeous details of ruffles and a cherrie and a cupcake applique. The matching bloomer peeks out the back when she walks or bends to pick flowers.

Want to win an outfit from your favorite Coco Bonbons collection. Come on over to LookWhatMomFound for the details and also to find out how to get extra entries.

Piggy Paint Nail Polish Review and Giveaway

What little girl doesn’t love pretty fingernails and toenails? Do you avoid painting her nails due to the harsh chemicals and offensive smell? Well that can all change now with Piggy Paint, Natural as Mud nail polish.

Stay-at-home-Mom to 2 little girls, Melanie Hurley discovered that the traditional polish she was using on her little ones nails what quite toxic. This worried her so she gave herself the mission of finding a safe, non flammable, natural nail color that wouldn’t harm her daughters or the environment around her. Piggy Paint was born. Made without formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, biphenyl A, ethyl acetate and acetone, Piggy Paint’s formulation is safe to apply to littlest of fingers without worry of them putting their fingers in their mouth and it chipping.

When I received Girls Rule just one of Piggy Paint’s 13 fun vibrant colors, I knew it would be perfect for my little girly-girl friend Lily. It took just 2 coats for full coverage of this shimmering pinky purple. Lily’s mom gave me some wonderful news too! The non-toxic polish remover works wonderfully to remove Piggy Paint from upholstery. Lily got hold of the bottle and poured it in the backseat of the car. The remover took out all nail color but DID NOT affect the color or material of the fabric. You could never try that with traditional nail polish or remover.

Piggy Paint wants a PlayDate Picks reader to try out their goodies for themself. Win a gift pack of your choice, valued at $27.

MANDATORY ENTRY: Visit Piggy Paint and tell me which gift pack you would choose if you win.

EXTRA ENTRIES: the Mandatory Entry MUST be done first. Leave a comment for each action taken.

If your entries do not follow the rules, they will be deleted! Contest ends at 11:59pm EST on Wednesday March 18, 2009. If the prize is not claimed within 48 hours a new winner will be chosen. I will email prize winner and also post winners name here on PlayDate Picks the day after the contest ends. Contest open to U.S. residents only.

Winner will be chosen at Random! I will be using Random.com to select the winner.

Veggie Tales

There's just something about singing and dancing vegetables that is quite endearing. Maybe it's the fact that they teach kids good values in a fun way. We can't get enough Veggie Tales in our house. So we were thrilled when we had the chance to review their latest movie: Veggie Tales: Abe & the Amazing Promise. This movie helps teach kids about patience. Be sure to check out my review for more information on how we liked the movie!

EarCheck

What is Earcheck ? EarCheck Middle Ear Monitor accurately and painlessly detects the presence of middle ear fluid, a key sign of an ear infection. Used by pediatricians for years, EarCheck helps you determine when your child might have an ear infection and allows for more meaningful conversations with your child's doctor.
How Does it work ? It uses gentle sound waves to accurately and painlessly detect the presence of middle ear fluid, a key sign of an ear infection.
Easy to use: You hold your child's ear up and back, stick the tip into your child's ear, just like an ear thermometer, and push the scan button again
There are then 3 color-coded levels:
1 - green = fluid unlikely
2 - yellow = monitorr
3 through 5 - red = consult the Doctor

My Youngest son has had 2 double ear infections in the last 2 months. Both times he had no symptoms. With the first one he went to the Dr. for his well check and that is when we discovered it. They 2nd one was when we went to the Dr. to make sure his ears had cleared up and we realized that his medication did not work and he still had the double ear infection. A few days after starting his 2nd round of medication I received the EarCheck and I checked his ears right away. By then his medication had started working and it read 2-yellow (monitor) and a few days after that it read 1-green (fluid unlikely). That was a great sign that this time the new meds were working. Since he seems not to have symtoms when his ears are infected I plan on checking him regularly with the EarCheck. I think my favorite feature is that it is so easy to use in your own home anytime. I wish I would of had this for my older kids when they were smaller !

The EarCheck would make a great baby gift for any new mom !

The EarCheck is available online at www.earcheck.com. It is also available at Babies R Us and WalMart,Target and Walgreens
Retail Value is $49.95
