Summer Party: Breezy Bags

I chose to lead off with this picture of Breezy Bags because I want everyone to see what size the pouch is. The pouch you see pictured on the left hand side actually have 5 eco-friendly bags in it. I keep this handy dandy little pouch clipped to my purse at all times so that it is ready to go for those last minute trips to the store. Oh I love getting looks from the cashier when they see me pulling my bags out. They always say "Are you going to get all these groceries in those 5 little bags?" I simply just smile at them and let them see how the answer to their own question. This one pouch will hold a weeks worth of groceries for my family of five and I have yet to have to pull out an additional reusable bag or use a plastic store bag. Everyone is always amazed once they see the answer to their own question.

When they first arrived to my door, they were all folded extremely neat and very flat in the carry pouch. I knew that there would be no way for me to fold them back as flat as they came, and even if I could I would never have the time. No idea what I was worried about. I just simply push them back into the pouch. It for sure isn't neat, but they all fit and it only takes a second.

Breezy Bags are 5 reusable shopping bags made of strong yet lightweight ripstop nylon. All 5 bags store in a small pouch the size of a soda can which is easily carried with you at all times. Breezy Bags come in 5 beautiful colors! Breezy Bags are an affordable way to help with the environment. One Breezy Bag that holds 5 eco-friendly bags is only $16.99, however if you buy (2) sets of Breezy Bags, then the price is only $30.00.

The great folks at Breezy Bags are so graciously offering one of my readers a chance to win their own pouch filled with 5 Breezy Bags.

Belkin Surge Protectors

If you are trying to conserve energy, you might want to look into Belkin surge protectors. They have outlets that are "always on" for things like clocks that need constant power. Then they have "switchable" outlets that allow you to turn the outlets off when you aren't using those items. This is great for TV's, DVD players, computers, printers, etc. You simply switch them on using a remote control when you want those items to be on. This helps reduce the electricity that is used when something is plugged in, but not turned on. Be sure to visit my blog Sweet 'n' Sassy Girls to read more about Belkin Surge protectors and find out how we used ours.

Moukisac Review & Giveaway

I am a huge believer in reusable bags. I always look for something compact, easy to carry and that will hold what I need. The Moukisac has all those great qualities that I find important. I took it shopping with me this past weekend and was amazed at how much it held. Also, it was great to be able to use the mesh Moukinet bags for my produce. Even after the shopping trip was over, it was very easy to get the Moukisac folded back to its compact size.

The Moukisac can be worn as a shoulder bag, sling bag or around the waist. It also comes in a wide array of colors and fabric (unbleached cotton, water resistant nylon, polyester cotton, etc). These bags are super easy to care for and clean and are machine washable and dryer safe. All these features are fantastic, but there is another one that also really caught my eye. I have actually never seen this with a reusable bag, but the Moukisac comes with 4 Moukinet mesh bags that are perfect for holding produce.

Enviosax

Being as I always have my reusable bags with me, I had to take look twice when I ran across Envirosax. Their reusable bags are not only unique and stylish but hold an amazing weight. They have so many different designs and styles to choose from, it is hard to pick just one. After debating on which one was for me, I finally decided on the one you see pictured on the left. This bag is from the Organic Series and is the Hemp bag. It comes in this great little bag so that it is ready to travel with you. I always keep it in my car so that no matter where I am, I have it at my fingertips. To read more on the Envirosax review and for a chance to enter to win one for yourself visit As They Grow Up.

PlayDate Pick & CONTEST: Skuut's Beginner Bike

I remember learning to ride a bike. It was not easy! I remember my dad taking off the steering wheels yelling at me to, "PEDAL, PEDAL, PEDAL!" as I wobbled like crazy. In fact, my parents still laugh and groan at the biking mishaps my sister and I had.

Like how I refused to use the handbrakes, I would just jump off.

Or the time my sister's shoelace got caught in the wheel and she tumbled off.

Or the time my tire got stuck between the that "attractive" gap between the sidewalk and the grass and I fell on my head. (A rush to the ER happened shortly after! My dad has an inner NASCAR driver in him, by theway).

Anyways, my point is that learning to ride a bike doesn't have to be that CRAZY! Ease your child into it with SKUUT! Skuut is an AWESOME, ATTRACTIVE, wooden, beginner's bike that will teach your child to GLIDE and BALANCE before they have to worry about braking and pedaling. There are no pedals or training wheels on this wooden bike. All your child has to do is sit, scoot and glide to ride Skuut. In fact, your child can transition from his Skuut to a regular bike without ever having to depend on training wheels! It's meant for ages 2 to 5, so I knew it would be PERFECT for my oldest, who is 2.5.

When you receive your Skuut, you only need to do minor assembly. I attached the seat, the handlebars and the front wheel. The seat is adjustable so the tiniest of riders can Skuut! If you want measurements, the height of the seat can range from approximately 13.5 inches to 16.5 inches high.

Now, you know the Mom Buzz wouldn't steer you wrong. But if you want to hear more accolades on this awesome first bike, then feel comfortable in knowing that it has won awards from:
  • The Toy Man - Editor's Choice
  • The Toy Man - Award of Excellence
  • The Toy Man - Seal of Approval
  • The National Parenting Center Seal of Approval Winner
  • Top 10 active children's products for 2006 by Dr. Toy
  • Winner of the Education.com A+ Award
  • Picked as a top Ride-on Toy in The Great American Toy Test 2006
And it is a PlayDate Pick, as well!

Samantha from As They Grow Up says:

"My son loves riding it indoors and outdoors. He prefers the skuut over the tricycle that he has. It turns corners really well and goes as fast as his little legs can make it go."

Heather from Grab Bag Reviews says:

"My oldest found this bike to be super fun, and he loves skuuting around inside the house! The construction is very sturdy, and the whole bike comes together with less than 5 minutes of assembly time."

And Erin from the Mom Buzz (Wait - that's me!) says:

"Everyone loves this beginner bike, from my 14 month old (who IS too short too ride, but he thinks he can) to my 5 year old nephew! And of course, my niece and 2.5 year old love it too!"

So...are you looking for a birthday gift for a little toddler? A beginner bike is a great idea! So scoot on over to Skuut.com to purchase one! Or you can ...
