Top Baby Names in the US

Emily has been on top for many years as America's top girl name and Jacob is still holding the title for boys for the 10th year in a row . This year Emma has taken the reigns for the girls.
This year each gender received a new name to the top 10 list.
According to the Social Security Administration the list for 2008 goes something like this.

Girls
  1. Emma
  2. Isabella
  3. Emily
  4. Madison
  5. Ava
  6. Olivia
  7. Sophia
  8. Abigail
  9. Elizabeth
  10. Chloe (new addition)
Boys
  1. Jacob
  2. Michael
  3. Ethan
  4. Joshua
  5. Daniel
  6. Alexander (new addition)
  7. Anthony
  8. William
  9. Christopher
  10. Matthew
How many Michael's do you know? Honestly I can't think of any, I do know a couple Christophers though. Olivia as always been a favorite of mine so I'm not surprised to see it on the top 10 list. What influences your name choices? Do your children have any of these names?
