  2. let's see, yesterday my daughter had some candy's in her room and was pretending her barbies were having a Halloween party. I happened to grab a candy while I was walking out. I didn't think she would notice. Well, she found the wrapper on the counter a little while after. She asked me who at the candy. I told her barbie brought me the wrapper and asked if I could throw it away. She is almost three and I think she bought it.

  3. I have had a few, one time I was pushing my then baby in the stroller, apparently his carseat was not exactly latched on there. I hit a tree stump and my baby and carseat did a double flip onto the ground. Luckily he was just fine...but I felt sooo awful.

  4. I put my daughter in the car and then buckled my son in his car seat. I was driving down the road when my daughter started yelling, "You forgot to buckle me!" Whoops. I pulled over and corrected the situation.

  6. When my daughter was a newborn, I had her lying in my lap. I leaned up ever so slightly so try to grab a remote control off the coffee table, which caused her to roll down my legs, and hit the legs coffee table pretty hard. I cried and cried, but she was pretty calm about it!

  7. That photo is adorable. I have really been wanting a tee that says "I'll walk when I'm good and ready" because my oldest isn't walking well on his own yet due to some delays. I'd say my most imperfect parenting moment was being in the hospital with hypertension and getting put in the ICU the weekend my oldest turned 1. I ende up having his baby brother via emergency c-section that weekend. I had such a huge party planned for him. We ended up having him a small little party in my hospital room.

  8. One evening before bedtime, I hopped on the computer really quick. Everything was quiet (you know that quiet when they are up to no good?), so I got up to see what they were doing. I find them playing in the dog crate (a normal sight here) and my oldest had drawn on my youngest's face. With a permanent marker. I ran for the camera to document this fine moment. Thankfully, it washed off pretty easily. Photo evidence for your enjoyment:

Guess not because in walks Isabella carrying the baby saying Whoa mommy Marley is heavy. I almost passed out!!! Now I make sure Isabella is with me when I have to leave the room!!

  12. This is embarassing...I never, ever hit my daughters. When my oldest was little, we were at the mall and she kept trying to stand in her stroller. I gently tapped her bottom and told her "no, sit down." An old man started yelling at me for hitting my baby. I only tapped her. I almost started crying right there. I would never hit my baby. I felt horrible all night.

  13. When we were moving from FL to MO, I was driving with my son, the dogs and my dad. We'd stopped for lunch, and were headed back onto the highway. I glanced in the rearview mirror, and was trying to figure out why my son didn't look quite right. He was leaning forward, watching his movie, because we'd forgot to buckle him back into his seat! I pulled off at the next ramp and got him buckled in.

  14. We were visiting an aquarium and apparently I had forgotten to change my sons diaper in quite awhile...it leaked out all over his clothes and I had no extra outfits, not even in the car. We were in this touristy area and I could not find one single baby outfit to put him in. I ended up buying him a set of swim trunks with matching t-shirt so we could go back and finish up the aquarium... It was January at the time!

  15. We're all human, all fallible, so while this is my most imperfect parenting moment, I'm sure it won't be my last.

About 2 years ago we were living in our first apartment. I was pregnant with my youngest son, and my oldest was getting ready to celebrate his 2nd birthday. In our apartments we weren't allowed to put chain latches on our doors, so that if there was an emergency the maintenance people could get in.

Well, my pregnancy was rough. I started having contractions at 22 weeks, and the pre-term labor lasted the entire length of my pregnancy. It was exhausting! One day I was lying down on the sofa, and I thought my son was playing in his room. I was dozing in and out when I noticed how quiet everything was. I got up to go check on him and he wasn't in his room. Hmmm, ok, no biggie. I checked the bathroom, guest room, and our bedroom, but still no Henry. At this point I was really starting to panic. It's a small apartment, and there are only so many places he could be! I noticed that the nightstand we kept in front of the door to ensure my son couldn't get out (remember, we weren't allowed to use a chain latch) was moved, and the door was opened a little bit. I freaked out! I ran outside, and couldn't see him. Our apartment was on the second floor, so I ran down the stairs, and still didn't see him, or hear him. I ran into the parking lot, crying, screaming his name, and nothing. I was about to have a nervous break down! I ran back upstairs, starting the search over, and as I came up the last step my little boy walked out of a neighboring apartment. He was scared, and I was bawling, and I grabbed him and ran inside sobbing and barely able to choke out the, "Don't you ever do that again!"

The people who lived in that apartment had moved out a week prior. I guess they had left their door unlocked, and the best I can figure out Henry wandered out our door, got turned around, tried their door, and when it opened he went in.

Talk about thanking your lucky stars! I couldn't believe that had happened, and I was so so thankful that he was safe!

  16. When I was pregnant with my daughter, my son couldn't just sit and watch a movie or nap with me-EVER. I would lay him down, lay on the couch and doze in and out of nausea spells, and pray that he would stay in his room. One day I fell asleep and he got into the fridge and proceeded to finger paint with a-1 steak sauce all over the kitchen floor, the dining room chair, and the ivory carpeting. Cleaning it out turned me off to steak sauce til this day!

    Thanks for the entry!

  17. We just moved into our home and I didn't know anyone. I had a 2 year old and an 8 month old. I went to change my daughters diaper and forgot to latch the door. My 2 year old went out and I in a panic was crying and screaming her name. She was 2 doors down seeing the puppy. That's how I met my neighbors. I never forgot to latch that door again.

  19. My daughter goes on about the Disney princesses and makes them sound so cool so I told her I use to be a mermaid and then I met daddy and asked papa to turn me into a human so we could get married.... Basically the whole Little Mermaid story minus Ariel add Mommy, lol. Well she believed me and I still haven't been able to bring myself to tell her the truth. She thinks I'm so cool and wants to know when she can meet a mermaid :/ Bad jealous mommy.

Ketchup oops I forgot the ketchup, I come back in to the room, squirting ketchup on everyones plates, Yep you guessed it, I knock over first glass of milk, Oh Dear,,, let me grab a towel and clean up this mess, its only milk guys no big deal it will clean, Turn to see what 8 month old is doing in high chair during this,,, and yep, spilled second glass of milk.. Poor kiddos, They have a klutz for a sitter.
Kids managed not to spill a drop that day.Amazing!!!Yes I know about Sippy cups, but I like for them to learn to drink out of regular cups they are small toddler sized.
